Open Position – Staff Accountant (Ann Arbor)

Staff Accountant

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Lepper & Company, LLC, a growing private Accounting and Tax practice in Ann Arbor and Pinckney, is looking for a full-time Staff Accountant. We are interested in finding a professionally-minded candidate, with a CPA and/or EA, passionate about serving and actively interacting with clients, tech-savvy, and comfortable with shouldering the expectation of consistently producing high-quality, accurate, and timely work.

If you want to use your tax and accounting knowledge to help small business owners better manage their businesses, to have the opportunity to provide a variety of professional services, and if you want to advance your career to a higher level, then this is the opportunity for you.

Successful staff accountants in our firm are humble, hungry, and smart. Being humble means, you do not have an excessive ego or concerns about status. You are quick to point out the contributions of others and slow to seek attention for yourself. You share credit, emphasize team over self, and define success collectively rather than individually. Hungry means you are always looking for more. You are self-motivated and diligent about your work, so your manager never has to push you. You constantly think about how to make improvements for clients and the firm. Smart means you are always learning. You have common sense about people. You have good judgment and intuition about the subtleties of people dynamics and the impact of your words and actions.
